Sunday, 5th September 2021 | On 5th September 2021, the Language Commission of IFSA LC UGM held the fourth English Club of this year. The purpose of this event is to increase vocabulary knowledge and to improve listening and speaking skills while having fun and as a platform to interact and strengthen the bond of IFSA LC UGM’s members.

The theme of this English Club is “British VS American English”. We decided on this theme because we want the members to learn about the differences between British and American English, both in terms of vocabulary and pronunciation. This English Club is divided into three sessions. In the first session, the members should guess the name of the object in British or American English. In the second session, the members should guess the accent used based on the audio by the native speaker. In the third session, the members should pronounce the words that appear on the PowerPoint slide. This event was very fun and the enthusiasm of the members was great. We hope the members could learn new things that can be useful in the future during this event.

There will be more English Clubs in the future. Stay tuned and follow our social media for further information, have a nice day!
