Press Release Digital Design Training: Get to Know Adobe Illustrator

by Nabila Putri Hafshari

Digital Design Training is a mentoring event that helped participants to deepen their digital design skills, such as make a poster, curriculum vitae or even a proposal, using an editor software. In digital design training, participants can make their digital design with editing software on their personal computer, for example Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and many more. Hence, IFSA LC UGM provides Digital Design Training facilities which expected to have positive impacts and also improve digital design skills on participants.

Digital Design Training #2 has held by Media and Communication Commission on Saturday, 31st October 2020 with the theme Get to Know Adobe Illustrator. Due to the pandemic Covid-19, Digital Design Training was held online on Google Meet. The Digital Design Training aims to improve digital design skills among IFSA LC UGM members through mentoring with the mentor. This event took around 2 hours and attended by more than 20 people online.

The event opened by MC and continued by Dana Prihandi as the mentor by showing his presentation about step by step to design an infographic with Adobe Illustrator. He explained the basic tools in Adobe Illustrator and also the tools that will be used to make this infographic. After the presentation, all the participants with mentor make their own simple infographic about IFSA LC UGM. The practice session has been so interactive because participants keep asking when they got confused or when they missed some steps. Adobe Illustrator might be a bit complicated but it has many interesting tools to make our design looked fancier. Even this is an online event, we have so much fun and learned a lot. In the end of the event, the participants allowed to show their work to other participants so we can see the progress together. After practicing and showing each others’ works, the MC closed the event and also invited the participants to take photos together.

See you in the next Digital Design Training!
